The MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING were accepted and signed.

MATTERS ARISING-

Website: The Chairman has now registered on “The Local Channel” website on behalf of the Parish Council.

PLANNING –members of the general public attending the meeting were given the opportunity to air their views on the applications listed below. Several letters concerning the applications for Thornhills and Crossways were read by the councillors.

Island Cottage – application for removal of existing side extension, construction of two storey side extension and reinstatement of chimney (CAT A). No objections and no comments.

Thornhills – application for first floor rear extension (CAT A). Objection on bulk and size. Attention of the planning department drawn to the comments made by the Council on the last planning application for a first floor rear extension made on 31 March 2003 which are still relevant to this application.

Crossways – MT declared an interest and left the meeting at this point. Conversion of barn to single holiday let and repositioning of stables (CAT B). Objection as a large number of concerns have been raised. The Council therefore has requested that a joint site visit be made to include parish councillors and interested parties to discuss these concerns.

MT returned to the meeting after this decision was made.

FINANCE

The financial report for December 2003 as prepared by the RFO was accepted and signed.

Cemetery a/c

Payment of invoice from D Jarvis for £81.24 for mowing bill was proposed by NP and seconded by JW. Cheque no. 42 was written and signed.

Deferred to next meeting.

PM left the meeting at 8.50pm and returned at 8.53pm

MEETINGS – Parish Wardens Scheme meeting was attended on Council’s behalf by Peter Knowles. Report to be considered at next meeting.
