THE MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS OF 26 APRIL AND 10 MAY 2004 were accepted and signed.

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN – Gerald Jeanes proposed by JW and seconded by NP as chairman. Duly elected.

ELECTION AS VICE CHAIRMAN – John Wright proposed by NP and seconded by GJ. Duly elected.

COOPTION OF NEW MEMBERS – Chris Cudmore proposed by GJ and seconded by JW. Duly accepted.

Representatives – deferred to the next meeting

FINANCE – Acceptance of the accounts for the year 2003/2004 was proposed by GJ, seconded by JW, the accounts were therefore accepted and signed. Financial statement for May deferred to the next meeting..

Cemetery a/c – Payment of bills from D Jarvis for clearing of churchyard wall@£17.50 and mowing @ £87.50 was proposed by GJ and seconded by JW. Cheque no. 044 was written and signed.

CEMETERY

The quote for further cutting back of the overhanging ivy on churchyard walls was discussed. It was decided to hold this in abeyance whilst the Clerk approached MDC, who have responsibility for the maintenance of the cemetery and churchyard, to find out if they would be prepared to pay D Jarvis to do this work or would be prepared to have their own contractors to do it. ACTION – CLERK

PLANNING – Tweed Farm – retrospective application for bund, landscaping and new fence. No objections and no comments.

Grove Shute Farm – application for erection of stables. No objections and no comments.

CORRESPONDENCE – SLCC agenda for next meeting.
