ACTIVE
LIVING CENTRE
Somerset Active Living brings together local communities,
volunteers and statutory organisations in a dynamic partnership to promote
healthy lifestyles and improve the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of
people over 50.
As part of our Community Activity Project, the first Mendip
village Active Living Centre will be opened at the Clubhouse on Monday 12
March, from 12 noon to 3pm. Using a
£2,000+ grant from Somerset County Council for new furniture, the Centre will
initially open monthly, but when the new building is established, it will form
part of the planned new drop-in centre which we plan on a regular basis,
depending on demand. The new centre
will provide regular activities, information and advice, and other events.
Future dates for your diaries: Tuesday 3 April (10-1pm)
Wednesday 9 May (12-3pm)
Please come along on Monday
12 March at 12 noon to the Clubhouse and give us your ideas over a free buffet lunch with an
activity to join if you wish.
If you could spare a few hours and would like to help with the
running of the centre we would like to hear from you: Graham ( 01373 813912
