This was the first meeting after the AGM
when Jan and Anne Robson stood down after 13 years as Chairman and
Secretary. They have left the field in
excellent shape and will be sorely missed.
1.00 Apologies for Absence: Steve Anderson was on holiday.
2.00 Previous Minutes: Minutes for meeting 6 Jan 05 were
agreed and signed.
3.00 Football Club: Frome Town Boys and Jim’s team were continuing to
play.
4.00 Cricket Club: Nothing to report.
5.00 Cricket Social Club: Has electrical equipment been tested as
requested by insurance? SW to ask Eddie ACTION: SW
6.00 Jobs:
1)Grounds Maintenance:. Two broken tree branches to be dealt
with. One at entrance by JR/AR and one on fence line by VH. ACTION:JR/AR/VH
2) Spoil Heap: Rest of Heap to be dismantled.
3) Playground:
Small swing seat top rail nuts to be
covered, these had been ordered from Wicksteed & fitted by JR.
VH reported that the seat on the small
swing was wearing. Inspection required. ACTION:

4) Electrics: Emergency lighting test procedure to be
done at each meeting. Done. ACTION: ALL
5) Concrete ends to Benches: Still a few around the ground. If anyone going to
Coleford tip, please take one with you. ACTION:

6)Water
heater: This
is now repaired but in urgent need of renewal. JR had quotes for 2
options. Kevin Garcia (KG) offered to
get a cheaper quote and to assist in fitting with Frank and Dags.. Final part
of installation needs a Corgi installer.
It was agreed to meet with JR as soon as he is better. ACTION:JR
It was suggested that the Cricket Social Club should be
contacted to discuss fitting a CH boiler. ACTION:JR
Jim’s team notified about showers by JR.

with Hammerite by VH.

Parish Council will discuss paying a share of the Insurance
Premium at their next meeting. The
RFMC is responsible for 75% minus £50.
25% is paid by the Cricket Social Club and £50 by the Fete. Last bill was about £900 pa. ACTION:SA

Bonus Club winners for Feb were Nicky & Simon Coe (at the first
attempt!), Jan and Den Pattison and Dave
Boden.

tickets were sold. A great night. Vicky, Frank and the other helpers were

2004)/Asbestos Act (May 2004):
JR had provided Asbestos Register. Holes
above ceiling tiles should be sealed. DP thought he could use his excess
expanded foam. ACTION:

Grants: Grant from Gloria Caywood of £350
towards the water heater had been applied for. There had been no
acknowledgement. She had been
overwhelmed. Try again next year?
CC passed on grateful thanks from the
Parish Council to Jan and Anne for their
excellent work over 13 years running the
field
Anne confirmed that Jan was still happy
to do jobs and will deal with the footballers this season!
