This year Crimestoppers
marks 20 years of helping in the fight against crime with a re-launched
website. See http://www.crimestoppers-uk.org/in-your-area/south-west/west-country
for the latest information about the charity's activities in the region.
West Country Crimestoppers works hard for our local communities, raising
awareness of the 0800 555 111 number and liasing closely with local people and
businesses on tackling crime. Crimestoppers can be particularly useful to NHW
people who wish to pass on information without the risk of their identity being
revealed. It also provides rewards for information leading to the arrest and
charging of wanted criminals.
In the last 12 months West Country Crimestoppers have received more than 2,000
useful calls, resulting in 101 arrests and charges, as well as recovered drugs
with a street value of over £450,000 and nearly £47,000 worth of stolen goods.
In order to continue its valuable work, West Country Crimestoppers needs your
support. Please visit their web pages and make a donation using the JustGiving
button. Alternatively, visit the JustGiving website (http://www.justgiving.com/westcountrycrimestoppers)
and click on the 'Donate' button. Donations can be made anonymously.
